Magnetic Strip Cards – Magnetic strip based systems recognize and authorize fleet vehicles by reading electromagnetically encoded data directly off of cards.  Much like modern credit and debit card processing, this information exchange is handled through a simple swipe.

Chipkey and Proximity Cards – These systems are able to read data uploaded to a small, durable microchip, giving it the ability to recognize and authorize company vehicles.  This process can either be done through the physical insertion of the card or key or in some scenarios a brief swipe through the air will activate the transaction.

RFID Technology – RFID technology is the latest in electronic fuel management systems and requires the least amount of human effort and equipment to engage.  They system consists of small components that are installed on the vehicle, the nozzle, and a communications unit.  This gives the system the ability to have accurate, real-time vehicle data without relying on the driver’s input.
